Put on this CD instead if you want some atmosphere. The smooth renditions delivered with feeling (attitude) might even settle your nerves after a hectic day. Of course it helps if you enjoy the lyrics of a few oldies. This collection benefits from a terrific backup band - just listen to each instrument's "audition" (especially the bass) and see if you don't agree. Listen closely and you'll hear the nuances in timbre of Krall's vocals depending on the mood she wants to convey. A talented singer and a great collection!
